KOREAN LAW PUTS A HALT ON MALE IDOLS’ ABILITY TO DELAY MILIATRY ENLISTEMENT!!

A new law which was put into effect on August 1, 2018 now requires Korean males to enlist after the age of 28, not 30.

This law affects many KPOP male artistes especially those who are touring or need to leave the country for international travel.

With the law there is also a limitation in travel being put into effect whereby males ranging from 25-27 are only allowed to travel five times internationally and are only allotted six months of travelling time.

This law affects male celebrities who were born in the year 1989 and 1990 as they will now have to enlist this year. There are many idols who fall into this category such as SHINee’s Onew, Junhyung, Kikwang and many others.
